In cities with a Chinatown, weekend mornings bring dim sum carts or order sheets, and lines form early at the most popular spots in Tracy; walk-ins are standard and reservations are uncommon outside large banquet restaurants. Regional labels matter: Cantonese, Sichuan, Hunan, Shanghainese and Taiwanese kitchens cook very differently, so a restaurant's stated region is a better guide to the food than the word "Chinese" alone. Some smaller restaurants in California are BYOB with no corkage fee; call ahead to confirm. A tip of 15-20% is customary for table service but not expected at counter-order takeout. Spice level, MSG and allergen questions are normal to ask before ordering, and most kitchens are happy to leave an ingredient out or tone down the heat if you mention it when ordering rather than after the food arrives.

I went back in February for my birthday. The place had just opened so there wasn't people there yet. The waiter was polite. Our soups didn't take much to be brought out and what I liked the most was when he would check in on us frequently. The atmosphere was calm and I liked that they had the door open to let in the fresh air and no the soups will not get cold because of this.

We ordered boba and ramen, ramen was good but some grass jelly tasted off so I decided to spit the last one out and turned out to be a bug.

their soup is great. it’s always been my go to place when I’m in the town. but my recent experience was disappointing. The server was nice, but they weren’t transparent about missing ingredients (both time i visited recently). Three days ago, I visited and ordered two hot pots. When I was almost done eating, I felt like something was missing, but since I had already finished, I assumed I just forgot what was in it. I didn’t say anything and just paid. Today, we ordered three hot pots and realized right away that all three were missing calamari rings. We told the server right away, and she said she thought it might be sold out and would check. She came back and confirmed it was completely sold out (i think she meant no longer available for the menu), but it wasn’t crossed off the menu or mentioned beforehand. She also didn’t explain what they could do about it. After that, we realized all three hot pots were also missing fried tofu. When we told the server, she said she could bring it out since it was a kitchen mistake, but by then we were already done eating, so we said it was okay. We then asked if they could remove the cost of the calamari rings and fried tofu that we didn’t get,

Very delicious hot pots with good service and ambiance! The amount of ingredients put into the hot pot has gone down over the years but this place is a family/friend favorite. Staff here is always friendly and everything I’ve tried on the menu I have enjoyed.

The restaurant has a store front in a strip mall. FOOD - The "Malaysian Curry Hot Soup" tasted great! It was literally smoking. Medium spice (the other choice was 'hot') was just the right amount of flavorful heat for my taste buds. The broth contained plenty of proteins and some vegetables, although I do not recall eating corn. Corn is on the list of ingredients. It was kind of light on mushrooms, too. Not much ATMOSPHERE. Internal layout is more efficient than emotional. The place gives off no vibes. No 'dazzle, aside from the food. Two ladies and an infant (looked like 3 generations of family) occupied a table. There were no other patrons when I arrived. A couple of people stopped by to pick up Boba tea with little to no food. By the time I left, server Iesly had seated a couple and a family of four, respectively. SERVICE - Iesly was attentive without being too pushy. I kept the menu and made a comment about the "macarons" pictured on the dessert page. But Iesly brought the check without asking if I wanted dessert. Upselling in the service industry should be second nature. "You want fries with that..?" What can I get you for dessert? Earlier, you mentioned macrons. How many
